We all remember High School. For some it might of been shitty, but you know they are just whining, because they probably didn't get laid half as much as we did. Boys Be... takes a more innocent approach to High School. Hell, the characters in this are looking forward to their first kiss. Maybe I just had a messed up youth, (and believe me, I did), but come on. But don't take me wrong, I'm not complaining about the innocence. Think teen soap opera and there you go. Take a look at the older version if you liked this. Just don't tell anyone you've watched or are watching it. I can't be spared, since I'm writing this. What I do for you people...

Boys Be... starts off with the normal boy and gal childhood thing where the two have been friends for a long time and now they have *~FeeLiNGs~*. Nothing too new. Rather than giving you what you expect Boys Be... will take a different path. So what the plot is rather dull, it's fuckn romance shiet you dumbasses. Quite a likeable cast, not too whiney. The one Motoko dude looks like a younger Kaji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Good characterization, but the guys seemed to get more light. Something that did annoy me was that the relationships didn't last much longer than an episode, but given that that they are trying to fit a whole year into 13 episodes, you got to sacrifice some things. If only it were longer it would have given Love Hina a bit of a run for it's money. But that's just my shitty opinion. The ending was rather dry, but I liked it MUCH better than the tipical romance ending. The chick in the last ep. is one of favorite anime characters of all time! Even though she only got 1 ep! I’d sway away from this though if you’re a male, and you like strong, manly anime. (Who are you kidding, punk?)

So don't come looking for plot twists and INTERESTING stuff. Just the same ol' laid back romance crap. Art was, as you can see, good. Some scenes were really nice to look at, especially the rainy episode. Music was fair. Sequel? Nope. Don't think so. I think this was already the remake of the older version.
