Galaxy Angel Z

Well one day, I entered a Suncoast store with my parents and I found my way to the Anime DVD section. To my luck, my stepmom heppened to offer to get me any DVD I wanted, so I pulled out the second Galaxy Angel Z DVD (since vol 1 wasn't there) and gave it to her to pay for. I had heard wonderful things aboutt his Anime, so I thought I'd check it out for myself.

The next morning, I popped the disc into my DVD player and was very pleased the whole way through. I found myself laughing very frequently, and rewinding back so that I could get more kicks out of the same scenes. The characters all related to people I actually know, which made their crazy antics even more amusing. The blonde but yet dedicated nature of Milfeulle instantly and continuously reminded me of my own sister, and Forte and her attitude was very similar to the way my friend sometimes acts.

Not only was this series funny, but the voice acting and animation were flawless. The voices certainly matched the characters, although I previously imagined Ranpha's being less mature. Of all voices my favorite was Mint's, probably because it was just so annoying that it was cute. Anyways, about the animation...there's not much to say about it other than that it was almost perfect! Great colors and movement!

This was also the only goofy anime I've ever watched that wasn't either annoying or offensive in some way. The director was able to make this hilarious without using any sexual concepts or somewhat stolen skits. I was actually able to indulge in the looks of the characters without guiltily feeling like I was only loving them for their breasts and thighs. There were almost none of those things to be seen in the episodes, which made it so much easier for me, a Christian, to watch this. I was thrilled to finish the DVD without seeing any raunchy scenes. That's very rare in a 13-and-up anime.

My favorite episode is 'Revolving Sushi of the Hereafter', although each episode was great. You decide for yourself which is the best one!

This was truly a remarkable anime that I still find myself watching again and again. If you have $30 and don't know what to do with it, then buy this dvd. You won't regret it.
