Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
By Mike Lewis 28th Apr 04 Did I like Gundam Wing? Yes. Did I like Gundam Wing Endless Waltz?....... Not really. Gundam Wing has a great ending everything makes sense, everything is happy (obviously). Then Gundam Wing Endless Waltz comes along and screws it all up. It takes place a few years after Gundam Wing and has all the same characters with a few new ones. Why did they try to extend a series that was so great? Because the company knew they'd make a profit. Gundam Wing Endless Waltz is a waste of time. It trys to throw a bunch of lubby dubby love crap at you in the end and throughout. Grrr all I wanted to see was robot ripping up everything in their path!!! Not "Love is the way" BS. At one point the Gundams actually attempt to NOT blow up the opposing forces because they "don't want to hurt them". I did not sit down to watch Sesame Street I wanted explosions and action. Instead the series becomes a prime time Barney episode right before my confused eyes. Gundam Wing is about war and what war does to people and society. It overlooks why it is either good or bad for society and raises very interesting arguments on the subject. However Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz tries to smother you with the "hands off policy". Good cartoons allow you to think for yourself and give you a mix of thoughts on pending situations and controversies. Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz fails this. All in all the only reason the cartoon even gets THIS rating is because it is Gundam and there are robot fighting battles but in the end some how "no one gets hurt". And all I have to say to that is that the three episode series is "hurt". And just because you watched or have seen Gundam Wing it doesn't mean you are obligated to see this series. If anything avoid it!!! 3/10
