Before reading this, I must warn you, this title is deffinently only for certain people with a certain taste. Most probably won't agree with this review. Lucky for me, it was right in with my type. You could say it is a controversial film, but we are going a little far aren't we? Deffinently worth your time though. Originating from the original 1929 live action classic, which looks very scary.

It all starts with this one dude saying a bunch of crap that doesn't have to do with anything. After the ten second intro, we get introduce to this machine thing called the Ziggarat, (please excuse my spelling), that's suppose to make Metropolis, (the city), a better place somehow. It doesn't take half a brain to know that's a load of bull. Of coarse it's a part of some evil plan. No, that's not a spoiler. So, an investigator comes to Metropolis to find a man that's been buying human parts which is illegal. But just in case you might want some, e-mail me at the address below with your name and number and I will contact you. So the investigator brings his son along, (all the names in this film escape me), for reasons unknown. After finding the illegal scientist dude, shit happens and the boy ends up with a girl that doesn't know anything about herself or anything. You can guess where this ends up. So there you have it, the base of the story. Like I said, this is not for everyone.

Lets just say that the art is very unique. It's kinda like 80's style mixed with weird Disney. Check the sample panels to understand. There was this one character with a HUGE nose that was pretty screwed up. I mean HUGE! Moving on to the music. This was pretty jazzy, like Cowboy Bebop except with a more smooth style. If you've played Grim Fandango for the PC, you'll know what I'm talking about. I listened to the ending music straight through to the ending of the credits. The dubbing was fine, not bad, not too good. Pick it up if you want to try something new, or something different. I didn't like the ending all that much, which is funny because most people think the ending is the best part of the movie, for various reasons. Left me a little short though.

7/10
