Street Fighter II V
By KRis 23rd May 04 I had just finished watching Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, and I wanted to see all of Street Fighter II. Unluckily, I found 2 V. Now, Street Fighter series and movies have a different plot from each other. Get what I mean? I don't give a shit. So seeing Street Fighter in order doesn't really matter. Watching Street Fighter 2 V wasn't really a pleasure, more like a pain. Never start a series without finishing it is my motto. Damn myself. Let me keep this short and to the point. It all begins when Ryu receives a letter from Ken. (I'm assuming you know the characters already, if you don't, try to keep up.) In the letter, it tells Ryu to come to America. Also in the envelope contains a passport. Ryu travels to America, meets Ken and they decide to go bar hopping. What? They meet up with some Air Force bums and end up getting the shit beaten out of themselves. For some strange reason, they decide to travel the world, wanting to get their ass's kicked some more. Slow starting, slow middle and a slow ending. What the hell, don't fall asleep on me. Slow anime calls for slow reviews. The end episode is rather good though, only for two reasons: Ken finally goes the hell home, and you get to finally watch something more worth your time. STREET FIGHTER SUCKS MY ASS!!!! Also, you get to see Chun-Li go for yet another man. Two in fact. "Maybe she's just a whore", said Huxley one day. I think in fact she is. Oh ya, and one last thing. Why the hell does Akuma, (the red haired guy), always show up in every episode, but has nothing to do with the plot at all, they don't even talk to the guy! Street Fighter 2 V gives you a more realistic look at the Street Fighter universe, rather than the more cartoony look it usually has. BORING fights scenes, even though this is all about fighting, you'd think it would be better. 29 episodes, an odd number for anime. Definably the worst addition to the Street Fighter II universe, I don't give a shit about what you say. Most of the time opinion counts with me, but if you like this series, you need to see better shows you fuck. Watch Love Hina or Cowboy Bebop or the damn weather network, ANYTHING is better than Street Fighter 2 V. I make my reviews short, I benefit you in that. 2/10
