Hellsing GN 6
By David Rasmussen 17th Jul 05 No need for a recap since this’ll be short and dirty. London is in flames, and a majority of the population is either being eaten alive, turned into zombies (ghouls), or are zombies (ghouls) and are either eating the other survivors or turning them into zombies (ghouls)… you know, the vicious cycle of the undead. The forces of Hellsing are scattered, but still fighting. But things look bleak as Integra Hellsing makes her way through the dead streets of London to get back to Hellsing HQ. But she is not the only one heading back, Alcuard (still onboard the dead British aircraft carrier) also makes his way back to London, and the battle now at hand. As Alucard makes his way back to London upon the ruined wreck of the British Aircraft Carrier he “cleansed” of the undead last GN, the rest of Hellsing is caught in the losing battle against the nazi undead and the newly risen London undead. As for Integra? Her return to Hellsing HQ does seem rather impossible, but that is until a timely intervention by Vatican City’s own bad boys and girls of Section XIII Iscariot. Yeah, they’re there to observe, then capture her, but she’ll have her way and walk them all back to Hellsing HQ. But don’t look towards the Vatican for help, because they are getting ready to do their own “house cleaning” with plans to “recapture” the UK for the side of the Vatican as they purge it of undead nazis… yeah, you sure know you can bank on the cavalry when that “cavalry” comes dressed like an army of KKK members fresh from a visit to a local gun show! Oh, yeah! That’s got my vote no question about it… right. But what of it? The entire city has just become the second Raccoon City, so what is there left to do? Fight. As the book ends the war for Hellsing HQ is on! The Nazi forces are in full attack, the streets of London are filled with the undead and dying, meanwhile the Vatican is moving an “extermination force” of over 2000 strong to clean up London and wash both sides of this conflict from the bloody battlefield. As for the battle itself? The battle swings like a bloodied blade back and forth across the bare neck of the city’s last hope. Should Hellsing fall, so will the last hope for victory. Now you have to hurry up and wait for a few months! Looks like Hellsing GN 7 won’t be out until at LEAST sometime in the Fall! Argh! Don’t you just hate that? You get all into something and THEN when it gets to the good part they tell you to wait a few months! Yeah! That’s annoying! Since there’s not much else to do, we’ll break it down. Hellsing Breakdown the 6th What’s Hot? - Well, you’ve rode shotgun on this title for this long, haven’t you? Now that you’ve gotten to the brass tacks of the finale you should be getting your money’s worth. It’s a bloody end game, and it spills hot and plentiful in this Graphic Novel no questions about that! This is the book that you’ve been waiting to witness for sometime now. Now all you have to do is wait… for the next book. What’s Not? - And that’s my not for the day. What the heck! I know Dark Horse would like to drag out the suspense abit and get us all hyped for Hellsing GN 7 but really! Why the wait! And why that much of a wait that we have to wait all the way until the Fall to see how it all turns out! I mean really!! I know Hellsing is worth waiting for, but still! Oh, well, not much to do but wait it out. It shouldn’t take too long. Moments to Remember? - I’d tell you, but it’d spoil the surprise. Read to find out. What to Ignore? - Hmm… that’d spoil the surprise too. Overall? - If you’ve read this then pretend it came with a court order of silence like the latest Harry Potter book when that accidental early release got copies into fans hands early. In other words it’d be best if you just read it yourselves, and saved the turn of events from this book for yourself to discover. Now all we have to do is wait for Hellsing GN 7. It’s abit of a wait, but it’ll all be worth it once we reach the monumental 7th GN and what should be the grand finale! We’ll see, eh? We’ll see. Stay tuned.
