Sonic X #15
By David Rasmussen 14th Jan 07 Merry Christmas from the gang at Archie Comics and Team Sonic (comic edition) as they share this holiday story with you and all your… yes I didn’t fall out a window and land on my head or something, I do happen to know that it’s January… all complaints about this belated Christmas story can be directed right to KTA in Kamuela… thank you. Ever since Issue #12 Eggman has been cooling his heels in jail, even sharing celltime with Sonic and Tails after that stupid incident in Issue #12 with the rampaging machine which they blamed Sonic and Tails for (though it was entirely that military guy’s fault). Anyway Christmas time has come, Chris and Cream are still hanging out together (Cream’s mom is now part of the cast), and Amy is in this one… makes sense since next time out she’s finally dragging Sonic on a date… a DATE… take a strong leash, Amy, and learn some quality discipline skills since Sonic can be such a dullard at times! This issue proves it! After hearing all about Santa he speeds up to the North Pole only to find it empty, running back fast thinking that the children of the world are being lied to… yeah, Santa’s laughing his big red one off after Sonic fails to find his secret city beneath the ice. The loser. Anyway apparently the bad Egg’s vow to stay in prison last issue has entirely been forgotten as he breaks out and… oh god no, not the “Let’s make everyone on the planet hunt down Sonic by threatening their Christmas gifts if Sonic is not given over to the not so jolly blackmailer in red by midnight on Christmas Eve” plot… wait, are you telling me EVERYONE on the planet is THAT gullible?!? Gimme a break! Oh, yes, everyone on the planet IS dumber than advertised as they do indeed hunt Sonic down to make him a present to Sonic, only for the truth to come out when they reach the North Pole and the truth is revealed, and the “real” Santa stands up… then everyone goes home and has a Merry Christmas! Damn you! How can we have a Merry Christmas with this infection of a bad Christmas story staining the holiday cheer and… what? Christmas ended 1 ½ weeks ago (as of this review) and so Christmas wasn’t overtly harmed by this story? It was and I’m just late getting my copy? What? It came out and nobody cared and Christmas was saved except for the part where Sony and Nintendo played the Grinch Who Withheld PS3s and Wiis for Christmas? Oh. Not even the use of robots with a Christmas theme can save this one from getting coal in it’s stocking! Sonic X #15 gets the gift that kicks it in the blue tail with the Christmas gift of 1 lump of coal out of 5. Now bring your hands together for WWE : Christmas Santa Smackdown and RAW as the jolly old man in red and his hard hitting men and women wrasslin christmas “elves” lays down a beating on a certain retard named Eggman and his (bleep)in’ robots. Go, Kris Kringle, beat this story down! Let’s hope Sonic’s date with Amy doesn’t (bleep) as this story did. Yeah, this may be a cheap $2.25 per issue story but we deserved better than this! Much better!
