Trigun Maximum
Previously....
Two years have passed since the incident chronicled in Trigun GN 2.
And for all that time Vash the Stampede has been in hiding, but sooner or later that hiding had to come to an end... which it has. Seems his old nemesis is not yet done for, and the "killing game" to eliminate Vash is still on as you are about to see...

Graphic Novel 2
Vash, it seems, is heading "home". But where is "home" for Vash anyway?
Seems that somebody else besides Vash knows, that being his nemesis (see earlier graphic novels for more on him and what came before) who is still sending out the strangest killers to try and eliminate Vash.
And if it isn't a samurai killer who'll put Vash down, maybe a "puppet master" type individual can.

And we'll even find time to reconnect with the "dynamic duo" of Millie & Meryl and find sometime for Vash to be helpful to someone in need (if he can stay on his feet long enough to do it considering the condition he's in when he goes doing his good deed of the day).

As for the serious intense stuff? Well we'll have more revelations of a sort and a cliffhanger that'll lead to some heavy stuff next time out (Graphic Novel 3).

Eh? That's it? That was short. Well it is short and straight forward but I left some details out... you know, so you have a reason to pick it up. Now the breakdown.

Trigun Maximum Breakdown the 2nd
What's Hot? - It's good and quirky and fun... well, it WAS all that when I started reading this!
However this one isn't as much of that as previous books, in fact it's mostly fighting and intense stuff.
Hoping it rebounds and picks up again on what makes it good, but that doesn't mean I didn't like this.
I still like the title, and it's still one of my favorite reads. No question about that.

What's Not? - I miss the quirky fun that got me hooked on this title. It seems so few and far between as we roll through "Maximum". I'm hoping once Millie & Meryl rehook up with Vash it'll be different and things get a little more fun... hopefully. But it's way too intense at times now, and I kind of liked it the way it was when I started out reading this.

Moments to Remember? - There are a few moments, but I'll leave them for you to discover.

What to Ignore? - Eck. Just get it over with already and let Millie & Meryl catch up to Vash already! Things might finally lighten up a little more if they do! Sigh... well, maybe future reviews will be better.

Overall? - While I am still a fan of this book I wish some of the stuff I got into this book for in the first place came back. I can take some of this intense stuff but I would still like the quirkiness of before back also. Well, maybe I'll get my wish granted next review... maybe.
